OUR STORY

OGEF was founded after Peter Kasanda’s volunteer work in 2012 revealed the risks girls face when leaving orphanages without skills or support. We exist to change that trajectory through education, skills training and early career support.

WHY “OCEAN”

The Indian Ocean on Tanzania’s coast is a symbol of renewal and possibility. Our name reflects our belief that education is a tide that can lift every girl.
